Alvaro Morata would be a good fit for Manchester United, according to Gabriele Marcotti.

The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to improve his attacking options.

The 24-year-old scored 15 goals in 26 appearances in La Liga last term although Morata only started 14 times in the Spanish top flight.

Morata is thought to be Manchester United’s top priority after the Red Devils ended their interest in Atletico Madrid and France forward Antoine Griezmann.

The Spanish forward won two Serie A titles during his two-season stay in Turin and finished as a Champions League runner-up.

Speaking to ESPN FC about Manchester United’s move to sign Morata, Serie A expert Marcotti explained why he considers Morata a good fit for the Red Devils.

“He has shown he can do it abroad,” Marcotti said.

“He is cosmopolitan. He is handsome. He is saleable. He is a good fit.”

Morata started his career at Real Madrid before moving to Juventus in 2014.

The Spanish striker returned to los Blancos in a £29m deal last summer.
