Anderson Talisca’s agent has poured cold water on talk of Manchester United signing the Benfica midfielder this summer.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next term.
Talisca was thought to be a big fan of Mourinho and quoted attributed to the Portuguese midfielder suggested that he would be very interested in a switch to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United have already dipped in the Portuguese market this summer after Sweden international Victor Lindelof completed a £30.7m move to Old Trafford from Portuguese champions Benfica last week.
Talisca’s agent has since rubbished talk of his client moving to Manchester United this summer.
“I have no idea where it came from. No one spoke to us,” Jesse Carvalho told Portuguese media outlet Record.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term behind Arsenal and Liverpool in the top-four race.
However, the Red Devils secured a return to the Champions League thanks to a 2-0 win against Eredivisie giants Ajax in the Europa League final.
