Insider claims Man United have found Alvaro Morata alternative
Manchester United want Andrea Belotti as an alternative to Alvaro Morata this summer, according to Serie A expert David Amoyal
Manchester United are targeting Andrea Belotti but only as an alternative for Alvaro Morata, according to David Amoyal.
The Serie A expert has taken to Twitter to shed light on Manchester United’s pursuit of the Italy international in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Torino owner Urbano Cairo revealed on Monday that the Italian club would want a fee of at least £88m if they are to sell the 24-year-old striker this summer.
The Red Devils are thought to be in advanced talks to sign Alvaro Morata from Champions League winners Real Madrid this summer.
Belotti scored 28 times in 30 games in Serie A in 2016-17 season as Torino finished in mid table in the Italian top flight.
ESPN FC reporter Amoyal shed light on Manchester United’s pursuit of Belotti on Twitter.
Amoyal wrote on Twitter: “No updates on Belotti- as far as I know he’s an alternative to Morata for Man United not a concurrent purchase”
Manchester United secured their place in the Champions League next term thanks to a 2-0 win against Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa League final.
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
