Expert explains why Anthony Martial could leave Man United
Football Weekly presenter James Richardson believes Manchester United striker Anthony Martial might want a change of scene

Anthony Martial would be interested in a move away from Manchester United, according to James Richardson.
The France international endured a difficult 2016-17 season under new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils boss wasn’t afraid to question Martial’s commitment in the media as the winger struggled to replicate his impressive first season at Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal recruited the 21-year-old in a £36m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in 2015 in what is a world-record fee for a teenager.
Martial repaid the Dutchman’s faith with a credible return of 11 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions to underline his exciting talent.
However, Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Martial should their attempts to sign France and Monaco sensation Mbappe fail.
Speaking to the Football Weekly podcast about Martial’s future at Old Trafford, the Guardian’s Richardson appeared to suggest a move could be on the cards.
“I imagine he would be desperate to get out of that big cloud he is under at Old Trafford,” Richardson said.
Arsenal have only signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac from Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 in the summer transfer window so far.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have recruited Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica.
