Journalist sends message to fans about Man United re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo
ESPN FC reporter Gabriele Marcotti doesn't expect Manchester United to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer

Gabriele Marcotti has tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to remain at Real Madrid despite talk of a return to Manchester United.
The Portugal international signalled his desire to leave the Spanish capital last week, opening up the possibility of Manchester United re-signing their legendary player.
Ronaldo spent six seasons at Manchester United and won three Premier League titles plus the Champions League under Sir Alex Ferguson, who the forward has often described as a father figure in his career.
The 32-year-old completed a then-world record 80m move to La Liga giants Real Madrid from Manchester United in the 2009 summer transfer window.
However, Serie A expert and Times reporter Marcotti is backing Ronaldo to remain at Real Madrid despite the recent transfer speculation.
“My hunch says he is going to stay because it makes sense from a financial and branding position,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.
Manchester United have already completed one signing this summer after Sweden international Victor Lindelof completed a 30.7m move to Old Trafford from Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Red Devils will be looking to win their first Premier League title since Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
