Brazilian forward responds to Man United transfer reports
Lucas Moura insists he has received no offers to leave Ligue 1 side PSG despite reported interest from Manchester United
Lucas Moura insists he has not received any offers to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be an admirer of the Brazil international as the Portuguese coach looks to improve his squad.
Lucas would certainly add pace to the Red Devils side, which is something that Manchester United lacked in abundance during the 2016-17 Premier League campaign.
Indeed, Manchester United fans will recall that Sir Alex Ferguson was linked with a move to sign Lucas before the South American opted to move to PSG in 2012.
Lucas scored 11 times and assisted five goals in 36 appearances in Ligue 1 last season as PSG finished as runners-up behind AS Monaco.
Speaking to Diario De Sao Paulo about reports linking the winger with a move away from Parc des Princes this summer, Moura said:
“In every transfer window there is always a lot of speculation. Actually, no offers have been made for me yet, nothing concrete. My agent has not told me about anything yet.
“I have a contract until 2020. If something materialises, we will sit and analyse it. Right now, nothing is happening.
“Regarding a return to Brazil, I am not thinking about that. I have objectives I want to reach in Europe. Leaving PSG for another European club could be a possibility for me but I am under contract and I have no offers in front of me at this moment.
“If something arrives, we will see what is best for me and for the club. Right now, though, I am doing well in France.”
Manchester United completed their first summer signing last week after Sweden international Victor Lindelof completed a £30.7m move to Old Trafford from Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Red Devils won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in their first season under Mourinho.
