Man United will wait until January to sign exciting 23-year-old defender – report
Manchester United will wait until January to secure the signing of Nelson Semedo from Benfica, according to reports in Portugal

Manchester United are prepared to wait until January to complete a deal for Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo, according to reports in the Portuguese media.
Correio da Manha, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United have identified the 23-year-old full-back as a long-term target to bolster their defence.
The same article states that Manchester United have baulked at his £44m price tag in the current transfer window despite Jose Mourinho’s interest in the Portugal international.
However, the story goes on to suggest that the Europa League winners are prepared to wait until January before securing a deal to sign the right-back this summer.
Semedo scored two goals in 46 appearances in all competitions to help Benfica to win the Portuguese title last season.
The defender has been capped four times by Portugal but wasn’t part of the national squad that won the European championship last summer.
Manchester United secured a return to the Champions League after the Red Devils were 2-0 winners against Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm in May.
