Man United will have to pay £40m to sign top Premier League star – report
Manchester United must pay £40m to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to reports

Chelsea have told Manchester United that Nemanja Matic will cost £40m this summer, according to reports in the English media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Premier League champions would be willing to allow the Serbia international to move to Manchester United this summer.
The same article is stating that Chelsea would only allow Matic to move to Old Trafford if the Blues secured the signing of Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to the story, Jose Mourinho views Matic as a more realistic option than Chelsea target Bakyoko and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier.
The English paper states that Matic’s £40m price tag is “excessive” for a player who will be 29 at the start of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte regularly turned to the Serbia international during their title-winning campaign last season.
The Premier League champions haven’t landed any signings in the summer transfer window so far.
Manchester United, on the other hand, completed a deal to sign Sweden international Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica.
