Man United still ‘likely’ to sign Chelsea star despite Lukaku difficulties – report
Manchester United are still on course to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea despite beating their rivals to the signing of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports

Manchester United are still expected to complete a deal to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea despite hijacking their rivals’ deal to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in the English media.
The Independent is reporting that Manchester United remain on course to sign the Serbia international in the summer transfer window even though the Red Devils beat Chelsea to one of their top targets.
The same article states that Moanco midfielder Fabinho is another option to strengthen Mourinho’s midfield options ahead of the 2017-18 season and the Manchester United boss has previously worked with the Brazilian at La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Portuguese coach signed Matic in a £21m deal to bring the defensive midfielder back to the Premier League and Stamford Bridge in the 2014 January transfer window.
Mourinho helped the Serbian to establish himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League as Chelsea won the Premier League title in 2015.
Manchester United have already signed Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Benfica this summer and Romelu Lukaku will become their second arrival once the Belgian striker completes his medical in Los Angeles.
