Michael Owen sends message to Man United fans about Romelu Lukaku
The former Manchester United striker admits he still has doubts about Everton striker Romelu Lukaku

Michael Owen has admitted that he still has doubts about Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international is closing in on a £75m switch to Manchester United in the summer transfer window after the Red Devils agreed a fee with Everton for the striker.
The 24-year-old was initially reported to be on the brink of a return to Premier League champions Chelsea to replace Spanish forward Diego Costa.
However, Manchester United were rumoured to have hijacked Chelsea’s bid to sign Lukaku given their problems completing deals for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata.
The former Anderlecht forward scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season but doubts remain about the Everton striker’s ability to thrive in high-pressure fixtures.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen has taken to Twitter to give his assessment of the Manchester United target.
Owen wrote: “Is the Lukaku deal done yet? He’s still a player I’m not 100% convinced by but he bangs in the goals. At 75m is it good business all round?”
Lukaku is currently training with Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba in Los Angeles with the Red Devils set to head out to the Californian city for the pre-season tour on Sunday.
The Belgian forward moved to Everton from Chelsea in a £27m deal in the 2014 summer transfer window during Mourinho’s second spell in charge at Old Trafford.
