Man United still keen on making top 28-year-old midfielder third summer signing – report
Manchester United are still hoping to be able to make a deal to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, say reports

Manchester United are still hoping that they will be able to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea if Tiemoue Bakayoko moves to Stamford Bridge, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Red Devils still harbour ambitions of landing the 28-year-old Matic from the Blues this summer despite the Romelu Lukaku transfer saga.
Manchester United eventually won the race for Lukaku at the weekend despite Chelsea having been heavily linked with the player throughout the summer.
There had been suggestions that Manchester United’s signing of Lukaku had probably ended Chelsea’s hopes of landing Matic.
However, the same report in the Daily Express suggests that is not the case and that the Red Devils are still hopeful of being able to conclude a deal for Matic.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they prepare for Jose Mourinho’s second season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are preparing for a return to the Champions League after they finished sixth but won the Europa League last season.
