Man United to offer 26-year-old new £130,000-a-week deal – report
Manchester United are preparing to offer Jesse Lingard a new contract worth £130,000 a week, according to reports
Manchester United are preparing to offer Jesse Lingard a new contract worth £130,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils want to get the England international to commit to a new contract at Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Lingard as one of his “integral” players.
Lingard still has two years left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford but the Red Devils are reportedly keen to get him to sign a new contract.
The story claims that the winger’s wages are set to increase by a quarter to £130,000 a week, although that figure still leaves him quite some way behind some of Manchester United’s top earners.
It is reported in the same story that there will be no complications with sorting out Lingard’s new contract as the England international remains committed to the Red Devils.
Lingard scored four goals and made two assists in 27 Premier League games for Manchester United last season.
Manchester United are on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Solskjaer looks to revamp his squad following their sixth placed finish in the Premier League.
