Man United tipped to sign Croatia star this summer
Steve Nicol urges Man United to complete a deal to sign Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid this summer

Steve Nicol believes that Manchester United will complete a deal to sign Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid this summer.
The Red Devils have been credited with an interest in landing the Real Madrid star this summer as they look to try and bolster their squad ahead of the transfer deadline next week.
Manchester United are thought to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League.
Kovacic’s future at Real Madrid has been a source of uncertainty due to his lack of playing time at the Bernabeu, and Old Trafford has been touted as a possible destination for the midfielder.
Now, former Liverpool FC star Nicol seems to think that the Red Devils are poised to make a move to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Nicol said: “It depends on whether Jose Mourinho is going to try and change his style a little bit.
“I don’t see how he can’t; he can’t expect to be at Manchester United for much longer if his teams continue to play the way they have done since he arrived.
“I think Kovacic would just give them a little extra something.
“Kovacic will work hard, there’s no question about that. But he also has the ability and the flare going forward to create.
“I think this would be a good move for Manchester United.
“I’m going to say it will happen, because it should. Whether it does, I’m not so certain.
“But I think for Manchester United, this would be a good move. I’m going to say it happens, yep.”
Manchester United ended up in second place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy in Jose Mourinho’s second campaign in charge.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
