Germany international tells friends he wants to sign for Man United – report
Mesut Ozil is favouring a transfer to Manchester United next year, according to reports

Mesut Ozil has told his friends that he wants to sign for Manchester United from Arsenal next year, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is claiming that the 29-year-old World Cup winner is keen on a transfer to Old Trafford as his contract at Arsenal continues to tick down.
Ozil, like Alexis Sanchez, has just a few months left on his current contract with the Gunners as he continues to be linked with a move away from The Emirates.
The same story says that Ozil has already rejected the offer of a new contract worth £235,000 a week at Arsenal.
The article says that Ozil wants wages closer to £300,000 a week and that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, who worked with him at Real Madrid, has been monitoring the playmaker’s situation closely.
The report also claims that Ozil has made it “plain” to friends that he favours a move to Manchester United in the new year.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal could opt to cash in on Ozil in the January transfer window, rather than risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Arsenal take on Newcastle United at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
