Manchester United have suffered a blow in their hopes of signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar this summer, say reports

Manchester United have suffered a blow in their hopes of signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils have suffered a significant setback because the Slovakian defender has reiterated his desire to stay at Inter Milan beyond the summer.
The same story says that the 23-year-old defender has emerged as a possible target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho this summer as the manager looks to bolster his squad in the off-season.
The article also credits FC Barcelona with an interest in signing Skriniar in the summer transfer window.
However, the player himself has now spoken out about his future and says that he wants to continue his development at Inter Milan.
Skriniar is quotes as saying in the same story in the Daily Star: “I really like Inter.
“I am very happy to be here and it will be nice to make a career like the one that Marek Hamsik has had at Napoli.”
The defender has been in solid form for Inter Milan so far this season, scoring four goals in 28 Serie A appearances for the Italian side.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as they look to try and assemble a squad capable of challenging Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the Premier League next season.
