Man United could sell Mkhitaryan as part of deal to land top 22-year-old in January – report
Manchester United could try and sign Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund as part of a deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to return to his former club, say reports

Manchester United could be willing to part company with Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window and bring in Julian Weigl as part of a deal to sell him back to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Mkhitaryan’s days at Manchester United could be numbered after his dramatic fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent weeks.
The same report claims that Dortmund are the “likeliest” club to secure a deal to land Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window.
It is also claimed that Manchester United could use the move as a potential opportunity to sign 22-year-old Dortmund midfielder Weigl, who is said to be a long-term target for the Red Devils.
Mkhitaryan’s future has been a constant source of speculation in recent days because of his fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Indeed, the 28-year-old playmaker has not featured for the Red Devils since their win over Brighton back on 25 November.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their League Cup quarter-final clash against Bristol City on Wednesday night as they look to try and defend the title they won under Jose Mourinho last season.
