Manchester United have submitted an offer for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to a report in France.
French media outlet Yahoo! Sports France, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United have made a bid for the impressive 23-year-old Lyon centre-forward.
The same article states that Manchester United are hoping to sign Dembele to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to swap Old Trafford for Serie A this summer.
According to the same story, Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli are all interested in a potential deal to sign the Belgium international before the close of Serie A’s transfer window on 23 August.
The report adds that Manchester United will be eager to get a new striker in before the Premier League’s cut off point for new signings on Thursday.
The French media outlet go on to report that Lukaku’s relationship with Manchester United is at an all-time low.
Manchester United have signed Swansea City winger Daniel James, Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City defender Harry Maguire in the current transfer window.
The Red Devils will start the new Premier League season with a home clash against Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday.
