Manchester United are set to take the advice of former midfielder Darren Fletcher and sign Stoke defender Nathan Collins this summer, according to reports.

The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a move to sign the 18-year-old from the Potters after having received a glowing recommendation from their former midfielder Fletcher.

The same story says that the Red Devils are now “poised” to make an offer to bring Collins to Old Trafford this summer.

According to the same article, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for “rising stars” in his Manchester United team as he looks to revamp his squad this summer.

The same story also says that Solskjaer has decided to make a move to sign Daniel James from Swansea City, as well as Norwich’s Ben Godfrey.

The Red Devils are likely to be on the lookout for a whole host of players this summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season under Solskjaer.

Manchester United – who have not won the title since 2013 – ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy as they missed out on Champions League qualification for next season.
