The same article states that Chelsea are close to concluding a deal to make AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko their first summer signing of the transfer window.
But the Blues boss is eager to add another top-class midfielder to his squad before sanctioning Matic’s sale to their bitter rivals.
