Manchester United are eyeing Nikola Milenkovic as a potential alternative to Harry Maguire, according to a report in Italy

Man United have made a £45m offer for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report in Italy.
The Daily Mirror quote unnamed reports in Italy that claim that Manchester United have submitted a bid for the Fiorentina centre-half.
The same article states that the Red Devils are looking to sign an alternative to Leicester City star Harry Maguire this summer.
According to the same story, Manchester United aren’t prepared to meet Leicester’s lavish £90m valuation for Maguire.
The report goes on to state that the 20-time English champions are looking at other potential centre-half signings, including Fiorentina’s towering defending Milenkovic.
Fiorentina signed 21-year-old Milenkovic in a €5.1m deal from Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Milenkovic has scored three goals in 53 games in all competitions over the past two seasons in the Italian top flight.
Manchester United have already signed Swansea City midfielder Daniel James and Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window so far.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
Manchester United conceded 54 times in 38 games in the Premier League last season to highlight their issues at the back this term.
