Man United are ready to make eight signings in the next two summer transfer windows, according to a report
Manchester United are set to sign eight new players in the next two summer transfer windows in a show of support for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s three-year vision, according to a report in England.
The Telegraph is reporting that the Red Devils have come to a realisation that they’re around six players short of being able to challenge for silverware under the Norwegian head coach.
The same article states that one of the eight planned signings could happen in the January transfer window to kickstart Solskjaer’s revamp of the Manchester United squad.
According to the same story, the Manchester United board are ready to show their commitment to helping Solskjaer restore the club’s reputation on the pitch by giving the Norwegian time.
The Telegraph adds that the 20-time English champions could spend around £150m in each summer after spending a similar amount in the most recent transfer window.
Manchester United signed Swansea City winger Daniel James, Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City defender Harry Maguire in the summer.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Newcastle United at St James’ Park last weekend following Matty Longstaff’s second-half winner.
Manchester United are in 12th place in the Premier League table and two points above the relegation zone.
