Manchester United are hoping to complete two big summer signings before the start of pre-season next month, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to overhaul his Manchester United squad in the summer transfer window following a disappointing season for the 20-time English champions.
The same article states that the Manchester United manager is looking to recruit a blend of experience and youth in the summer months to improve his Red Devils squad before the new Premier League campaign.
According to the same story, Solskjaer is looking at Ajax’s Matthijs De Ligt, Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, PSG’s Thomas Meunier and Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly as potential defensive signings.
The Sun report goes on to add that Benfica’s Joao Felix, Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes and PSG’s Adrien Rabiot are some of the midfielders that Manchester United are looking at to improve their options in the middle of the park.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season after the Red Devils finished outside the Champions League qualification spots.
The Red Devils will be looking to secure a return to the top four next term in Solskjaer’s first full season in charge of the 20-time English champions.
