FC Barcelona have offered Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes plus £45m for Manchester United record signing Paul Pogba, journalist Kaveh Solhekol has revealed.
The La Liga champions are interested in a deal to sign the France international in the summer transfer window despite England’s 17:00 BST deadline on Thursday evening.
FC Barcelona are looking to fill the void left by Andres Iniesta ahead of their title defence and push to win the Champions League for the first time since 2015.
The Catalan side have already signed Chile international Arturo Vidal from Bundesliga giants FC Barcelona to add more dynamism and steel to their options in the middle of the park.
However, FC Barcelona are interested in a deal to sign Pogba from Manchester United after the Spanish champions missed out on a swoop to sign Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol shed light on the details behind FC Barcelona’s audacious attempt to sign the Manchester United midfielder this summer.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Sky Italy: Barcelona willing to pay £45m plus Yerry Mina & Andre Gomes for Paul Pogba. Manchester United not interested”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season to secure a valuable a spot in the Champions League.
The Red Devils ended the 2017-18 season without silverware following a 1-0 loss to Chelsea FC at Wembley.
