Real Madrid are optimistic a deal can be reached to sign Man United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report

Real Madrid are “increasingly confident” about completing a deal to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report in England.
ESPN FC is quoting unnamed sources at The Bernabeu that have told the website Real Madrid are optimistic that Pogba will complete a move to the Spanish capital.
The same article states that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is eager to land the World Cup winner to bolster his midfield options ahead of the new La Liga season.
According to the same story, the club’s president Florentino Perez was initially reluctant to spend more money after funding a revamp of Real Madrid’s squad this summer.
But ESPN FC state that Real Madrid are now confident that they can reach an agreement with Manchester United despite the Premier League side’s asking price of €180m.
The report goes on to add that Zidane is confident Real Madrid have sufficient options up front to cope without Marco Asensio but the Frenchman wants Pogba to reinforce his midfield.
Manchester United have signed Swansea City midfielder Daniel James and Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window this summer.
The Red Devils will be desperate to improve upon their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
