Man United praised for making ‘first-choice’ signing
Dwight Yorke has welcomed the arrival of Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United

Dwight Yorke has praised Manchester United for signing Romelu Lukaku.
The Red Devils completed a £75m deal to bring the Belgium international to Old Trafford from Everton earlier this week.
Lukaku was previously linked with a move to Premier League champions Chelsea but Manchester United managed to hijack the transfer.
The 24-year-old has reunited with his former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford despite the Portuguese coach overseeing the sale of Lukaku during his second spell in charge of the west London club.
Lukaku will be tasked with replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Manchester United side following his impressive return of 28 goals in all competitions last term.
Former Manchester United striker Yorke issued his backing to Lukaku as the Belgian striker gets to know his new team-mates in Los Angeles ahead of the new season.
“In my opinion he is my first choice, I am delighted that he has joined our football club,” Yorke told ESPN.
“When you look in terms of consistency, what he has done in the Premier League and over the last three seasons, he is one of the most consistent ones.”
Manchester United won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in Mourinho’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils secured a return to the Champions League after Manchester United were 2-0 winners against Dutch side Ajax in the Europa League final.
