Man United open talks with FC Barcelona about 25-year-old – report
Man United enter into talks with FC Barcelona about signing Samuel Umtiti this summer, according to a report

Manchester United have started talks with FC Barcelona about potentially signing Samuel Umtiti this summer, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United have conceded defeat in the race to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire this summer.
The same article states that the Red Devils have switched their focus to FC Barcelona star Umtiti and have held initial discussions with the La Liga champions.
According to the same story, FC Barcelona’s willingness to sell Umtiti could depend on whether Matthijs de Ligt has a change of heart and decides to sign with the Spanish giants.
Mundo Deportivo goes on to add that FC Barcelona have also asked about Manchester United’s Sweden international Victor Lindelof but the Red Devils are reluctant to sell.
The Spanish newspaper reveal that some members of the FC Barcelona board would be open to selling Umtiti this summer due to concerns about his knee problems.
Umtiti has won the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey trophy twice since his move to FC Barcelona from Lyon in a £24.6m deal in July 2016.
The French star featured in 14 games in all competitions last season after Umtiti helped les Bleus to win the World Cup in Russia last summer.
