Man United in talks about signing Lazio midfielder before deadline – report
Man United are working on a deal to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in case Paul Pogba leaves, say reports

Manchester United are in talks to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic before Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils are looking at signing Milinkovic-Savic as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba this summer.
The same story says that Real Madrid will make another approach to try and sign the 26-year-old Pogba before the Premier League transfer window closes on Thursday as they look to land the man they have been linked with all summer.
According to the same story, Real Madrid are trying to reach an agreement with Manchester United without having to pay the English club’s £150m asking price.
Pogba’s future has been a relentless source of speculation throughout the summer transfer window and it remains to be seen whether he will still be a Red Devils player when the season kicks off this weekend.
The same article says that Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Milinkovic-Savic in the event that it becomes impossible to keep Pogba at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been touted as a target for Manchester United this summer but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will sign him before Thursday afternoon’s deadline.
The Serbia international scored five goals and made three assists in 31 Serie A games for Lazio last season.
