Man United reluctant to sign 23-year-old for £87.5m – report
Man United have cooled their interest in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio, say reports

Manchester United are being put off a summer transfer bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio because of the huge price-tag on his head, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Lazio are refusing to budge on their £87.5m valuation of the 23-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months.
According to the same report, Milinkovic-Savic has been offered to Manchester United a number of times this season for around £70m, but increased interest in the player has driven up the asking price.
The same report credits Real Madrid with an interest in the player, and Manchester United have cooled their position due to the inflated price-tag.
The story also claims that Manchester United, meanwhile, are in the process of finalising a deal to sign Shakhtar Donatsk’s Fred, who will fit alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in midfield.
The article reports that Manchester United are indeed still on the lookout for another midfielder, but they are not willing to part with as much as £87.5m to land their man.
Jose Mourinho is aiming to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season, with the Red Devils having finished second and without a trophy in his second campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
