Sir Alex Ferguson wants Man United to sign 26-year-old – report
Sir Alex Ferguson wants Man United to signing Harry Maguire this summer, according to a report

Sir Alex Ferguson wants Manchester United to do everything possible to sign Leicester defender Harry Maguire this summer, according to a report in England.
The Manchester Evening News, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the former Red Devils boss was surprised that Manchester United hadn’t submitted an offer for Maguire before last week.
The same article states that Ferguson has been an admirer of Maguire for a long time after spotting the centre-half during the early stages of his career at Sheffield United.
According to the same story, the Scottish legend even went as far as calling the centre-half to offer him “guidance and advice”.
The report adds that Manchester United are still hesitant about entering into a bidding war with defending Premier League champions Manchester City.
Ferguson is said to be “bemused” by Manchester United’s continued indecisiveness about bringing in a signing at centre-half this summer.
Manchester United conceded 54 times in 38 games in the Premier League last season as the Red Devils finished in sixth spot in the table.
The Red Devils relied upon Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo to occupy centre-half roles last term.
Manchester United have failed to win any silverware in the last two seasons under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
