Man United want to sign 25-year-old Dutchman in January – report
Manchester United have made enquiries about signing Stefan De Vrij in the January transfer window, according to reports

Manchester United have made enquiries to Lazio about the possibility of signing Stefan De Vrij in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is claiming that the Red Devils are seriously interested in signing the 25-year-old central defender in the mid-season transfer window.
The same report states that because De Vrij is out of contract at the end of the season, a number of top European clubs are interested in securing his signature.
The story claims that Liverpool FC failed with a £30m bid to try and sign De Vrij in the summer transfer window and that the defender continues to attract interest from the Premier League.
The same article says that Manchester United have made “serious enquiries” about signing De Vrij in the coming January transfer window.
It is also claimed that Lazio are “desperate” to get the defender tied down to a new contract with a release clause of at least £22m.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of top players in the coming weeks as the January transfer window draws nearer and Jose Mourinho looks to build a squad capable of challenging Manchester City’s current dominance at the top of the table.
