Jose Mourinho wouldn’t want Manchester United to miss out on the chance to sign Thiago Alcantara, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Red Devils boss is a big admirer of the Bayern Munich midfielder, who has been linked with an exit at the Allianz Arena this summer.
The same article states that Thiago is sure to command plenty of interest given his undoubted pedigree following spells at FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Manchester United have already signed Brazil international Fred in a £52m deal from Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Dontesk this summer to improve his options in the middle of the park.
According to the same story, the Red Devils boss would be reluctant to miss out on the chance to sign Thiago in the summer transfer window to add more quality and depth to the Manchester United squad.
The Red Devils star finished in second place in the Premier League table after Manchester United ended up ahead of rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC.
Manchester United have also signed FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and veteran English goalkeeper Lee Grant this summer to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
