Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet La Colina de Nervion, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ben Yedder over personal terms.
The same article states that Manchester United are poised to sign the 28-year-old centre-forward ahead of interest from La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the same story, Ben Yedder is set to replace Romelu Lukaku in the Manchester United team but his transfer to Old Trafford doesn’t hinge on the Belgian leaving the club this summer.
The report goes on to reveal that Manchester United could activate his £35m contract release clause to conclude a deal for Ben Yedder in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United started their summer spending with the £15m addition of Wales international Daniel James from Championship outfit Swansea City in June.
The Red Devils completed their second deal at the weekend when Aaron Wan-Bissaka secured a £50m switch to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace after weeks of speculation.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term following a disappointing end to the 2018-19 season.
