Spanish media outlet Marca, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils are considering a bid to sign the South American as a potential alternative to Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld.
The same article states that the World Cup star has been training away from the rest of the FC Barcelona squad over the past week amid ongoing transfer speculation.
According to the same story, FC Barcelona are looking to secure a transfer fee in the region of €40m (£36m) for the 23-year-old Colombian centre-half.
Manchester United have been left frustrated in the past month or so after the Red Devils were unable to conclude some defensive signings.
