Manchester United are ready to compete with Arsenal and Liverpool FC for the signing of Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma ahead of the January transfer window, according to a report in England.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in a potential swoop to sign the highly-rated Brighton midfielder following his excellent performances on the south coast.

The same article states that Manchester United are ready to battle with up to six teams to land the Mali international in the upcoming transfer window.

According to the same story, Arsenal and Liverpool FC are interested in a swoop to sign Bissouma, while three other clubs are also thought to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.

The report reveals that Solskjaer is looking to add more depth to his midfield options amid the speculation surrounding Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United.

The Express claim that Liverpool FC are looking at Bissouma as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum if the Netherlands international leaves when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Bissouma has scored one goal in 13 games in the Premier League this season under Graham Potter – and only Ben White and Adam Webster have played more first-team minutes than him this term.

The Mali international has netted three times in 69 games in all competitions over the past three seasons following his move to Brighton from Lille in 2018.
