Jose Mourinho confirms how many players Man United will sign this summer

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will look to buy up to four new quality players for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are bound to be linked with a host of star names in the coming weeks and months as the summer window draws ever nearer.

Manchester United were one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs last summer as they splashed the cash on bringing Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford.

Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe are two players to have been touted as possible transfer targets for the Red Devils in recent weeks.

And the Manchester United manager has confirmed that he will be focusing on quality over quantity in the summer transfer window for the Red Devils.

Mourinho is quoted as saying by Metro: “We prefer to bring two, three, four players – but good players who feel the idea of the football we try to play, who can improve our squad.

“We are not interested in selling six or seven, buying six or seven, but only two of them who can improve our squad. We are not going to play this game.

“Some players will leave, some players will come, but only in a very natural way.”

Manchester United are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they chase a top-four finish this season.

Mourinho will be hoping to guide Manchester United into next season’s Champions League and add an extra boost to their bid to attract top players this summer.
