Charlie Nicholas is tipping Manchester United to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 home victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Bournemouth in the top flight last weekend.

Manchester United have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League all season and they currently find themselves in 10th place in the table after having only won three games this term.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keen for his side to sign off for the final international break of the year with a home victory as he bids to try and steer them back into the top four this season.

Brighton, meanwhile, are currently eighth in the Premier League table and two points ahead of Manchester United heading into Sunday’s clash.

Former Arsenal star Nicholas is backing the home side to claim all three points on Sunday but he does not expect it to be an easy game for the Red Devils.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “Normally I think this would be a straightforward win, but it is not as easy as that for this Manchester United team.

“Brighton are starting to score more openly and are starting to get there. Brighton are more attacking-minded than they have ever been before, so this then becomes an open game.

“I do still think that Graham Potter will change his style accordingly. Leandro Trossard came off the bench and made a difference.

“He is a troubling and exciting player and will cause danger. These are the games that matter for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and you have to win these games to think about the top four again.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last term.
