Michael Owen: I’m hoping this Man United star will score v West Brom
The former Manchester United striker is hoping to see Marcus Rashford on the score sheet against West Brom on Saturday
Michael Owen admits he is hoping that Marcus Rashford will score in Manchester United’s clash against West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will host the Baggies as Jose Mourinho’s side look to put pressure on Liverpool in fourth place.
Manchester United were 3-1 winners against Middlesbrough in their last Premier League game before the international break.
Rashford started up front against Boro but failed to get on the score sheet in the absence of suspended striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 35-year-old will continue to serve his ban when Tony Pulis’s West Brom side make the trip to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Former Manchester United striker Owen is hoping that Rashford will find the back of the net against the Baggies.
“United need to win to maintain their Champions League challenge and I hope to see Marcus Rashford among the goals at Old Trafford with Zlatan Ibrahimovic still having to sit the game out through suspension,” Owen told Bet Victor.
Rashford has scored three goals and has made one assist in 22 games in the Premier League this season under Jose Mourinho.
The 19-year-old found the back of the net in eight times in 18 appearances in all competitions last term.
