Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Man United v West Ham
Mark Lawrenson looks ahead to Manchester United's Premier League clash with West Ham United on Sunday

Mark Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to get their Premier League campaign off to a winning start by beating West Ham United 2-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils are currently preparing for Jose Mourinho’s second season in charge at Old Trafford as they look to improve their Premier League form under the Portuguese coach.
Manchester United’s form in the Premier League last season left a lot to be desired, as Mourinho’s men slumped to a disappointing sixth-placed finish,
However, the Red Devils did make up for their stuttering form by winning both the EFL Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first campaign at the club.
Manchester United have strengthened over the summer by signing Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof ahead of Mourinho’s second campaign.
And former Liverpool star Lawrenson is tipping the Red Devils to have too much for the Hammers on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “I see West Ham as a mid-table side looking upwards, but it is asking a lot for them to get anything at Old Trafford.
“Manchester United have got a massive squad – in terms of quality as well as numbers, I think it is the best in the Premier League – and I think they are going to have a real go in every competition this season.”
Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup last week as they missed the chance to win their first trophy of the season.
The Red Devils could come up against their former striker Javier Hernandez on Sunday after he signed for West Ham this summer.
