David Moyes is convinced that Manchester United have what it takes to win the Champions League this season after their comeback against Olympiacos.
A Robin van Persie hat-trick handed Moyes’ side a 3-0 win at Old Trafford to wrap up a 3-2 aggregate success and book their place in the last-eight draw.

With United currently seventh in the Premier League table, the Red Devils’ only realistic chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League would be to win the competition this term.
And Moyes is certain that his side have what it takes to lift the trophy in May, despite United’s struggles this season.
“I suppose we’ll be the underdogs in the draw, but I genuinely believe this club of is capable of doing it,” said Moyes.
“If we show our capabilities, which we haven’t done too often this season, we can be a match for any team.
“We were disappointed after the first game, losing 2-0, and it gave us a big job to turn it around, but we managed to do it in this game.”

Moyes also insisted that he sees himself staying at Old Trafford for a “long time” despite the speculation about his future following United’s patchy form.
“I know what the club have got here and I see myself as being here for a long time,” he said. “But I’ve got a big job and I’ve got a lot of things I’ve got to do – and I’m not going to be able to do it all immediately.
“I’d love to say [the Olympiacos win] will be a turning point but I think we know that we’ve got a lot of work to do here.
“We’ve had a great result tonight and we’re going to try and keep going in this competition. We know it’s going to be a struggle but we’re looking forward to whoever we get in the draw.”
