Man United transfers: David De Gea says he is "very happy" at the Red Devils despite speculation linking him with Barcelona

David De Gea says he is “very happy” at Manchester United despite speculation linking the goalkeeper with a move to Barcelona.
The La Liga champions look set to lose long-term shot-stopper Víctor Valdes, who has indicated his desire to leave Camp Nou before his contract expires in 2014.
Liverpool number one Pepe Reina has been one name touted as a possible successor to Valdes at the Catalan outfit, while United’s De Gea is also a reported target.
But the 22-year-old, who won his first Premier League crown with the Red Devils this term, is not contemplating leaving the 20-time English champions at the moment.
“That would be very difficult,” De Gea is quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “I am very happy at United. Things are going really well, better every day. I am very happy.”
David Moyes is set to take charge of the Red Devils this summer after being confirmed as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor at Old Trafford earlier in May.
The 50-year-old’s first challenge will be resolving Wayne Rooney’s United future, and De Gea believes the England international is happy at the club.
“He looks fine to me, happy,” he continued. “We do not know if he will go, but we hope he stays. He is a very important player for us.”
