Man United transfers: David De Gea says he hopes to stay at the Reds Devils for 'many years' amid reported interest from Barcelona

David De Gea has set his sights on staying at Manchester United for “many years” amid reported interest from Barcelona.
The Spain Under-21 international improved throughout the duration of United’s title-winning campaign and was included in the PFA Premier League team of the year.
Barcelona are rumoured to be weighing up a move for the Red Devils shot-stopper after Víctor Valdes revealed his desire to leave the La Liga champions and seek a new challenge.
But De Gea has reaffirmed his commitment to the 20-time English champions.
“I’m happy in Manchester,” De Gea said.
“It has been a very good season, and the longer it goes, the better I’m there. I have a contract and hope to be at United for many years.”
De Gea also revealed he is looking forward to being part of David Moyes’ plans at Manchester United after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
He continued: “We are saddened by the departure of Ferguson, but in comes another great coach with a different style of play, so we will try to follow along the same lines and with the same tone.
“It’s a shame that he went, he was great. But, now we have a new coach in David Moyes, who we still don’t know. We’re all waiting to get back there and
see how it is with him.”
De Gea has made 80 appearances for United after completing a £19m move to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
