Man United transfers: David Moyes keen to do January business
Man United transfers: David Moyes is keen to do business in January but admits it is always a difficult window

David Moyes has confirmed that he will do all he can to strengthen his Manchester United squad in January – but admits it’s not the ideal month to do business.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks, including Everton defender Leighton Baines and Brazilian midfielder Everton Ribeiro.

And Moyes, whose side take on Tottenham at Old Trafford on New Year’s Day, will look to bring in some fresh faces next month, although he concedes it will not be easy.
“Well, we’ll always be looking to try to add players if we can,” said Moyes.
“I’ve said before that I’m not sure January is a brilliant month to do business, but we’ll be looking, like everybody else.”
Moyes’ United side have won their last six games in all competitions following a stuttering start to the Scot’s reign at Old Trafford.
But the 50-year-old insists he will not get carried away by the Red Devils’ improved displays.
“I don’t think anybody is jumping up and down because we’ve won six games in a row,” said Moyes.
“I think it is what is expected here. But it’s nice that you mentioned it.”
