Man United transfers: David Moyes coy on new Wayne Rooney deal
Man United transfers: David Moyes remains tight-lipped when asked about the Red Devils plans to offer Wayne Rooney a new deal

David Moyes admits he isn’t sure when Manchester United will open talks with Wayne Rooney over a new contract.
The 28-year-old forward, who was the subject of interest from title rivals Chelsea during the summer, has 18 months left to run on his current United deal.
Rooney scored twice in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday to help the defending champions secure a valuable point.
The England star has now scored eight top-flight goals this season, and Moyes hinted the Red Devils would start negotiations next summer.
“When will we talk to him about the contract? I don’t really know,” Moyes said.
“I think we are fine. We are just moving on from the summer. It will be done in good course.
“The appropriate people will talk when the time is right.”
Moyes praised Rooney’s instinctive finish as the United striker levelled following Kyle Walker’s opener in north London.
“You will see him score a lot of great goals. But that (his first) was more of a sniff at goal, a mix-up in the box and he was on the end of it.
“His performances have been great and he’s worked incredibly hard. And he deserves the rewards he is getting.”
