Man United transfers: Macheda eyes permanent Stuttgart move
Man United transfers: Federico Macheda says he is keen to secure a permanent switch to Stuttgart after joining on loan in January

Federico Macheda says he wants to make his loan move to Stuttgart a permanent switch and end his Manchester United nightmare.
The 21-year-old completed a move to the Bundesliga outfit in the January transfer window after seeing his first-team opportunities limited at Old Trafford this term.
Macheda, who is yet to score in five appearances for Stuttgart, has spent spells on loan at Sampdoria and Queens Park Rangers in the last two seasons.
And the Italy Under-21 international believes he can improve as a player at Stuttgart if he secures a transfer.
“In the winter, the move [to Stuttgart] was only a loan option but I knew there would be a chance to remain at the club after it,” Macheda told German newspaper Bild.
“If Stuttgart want to sign me permanently, I would be very happy.
“Back at Manchester United it was always difficult for me due to the competition for first team spots.
“It would be great to remain at Stuttgart. Over here the coaches are working with young players and I feel I could progress at this club as a player.”
Macheda scored crucial goals for United against Aston Villa and Sunderland as club won the Premier League title in 2009.
