Man United transfers: ‘Luke Shaw settled at Southampton’
Man United transfers: James Ward-Prowse feels that highly-rated Luke Shaw is best-served staying at Southampton

James Ward-Prowse believes Luke Shaw is best-served staying at Southampton amid reported interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The highly-rated left-back has been heavily linked with a touted £22m move to the defending Premier League champions in recent weeks.

Shaw, who is a lifelong Blues fan, has also been talked up as a potential long-term replacement for England centurion Ashley Cole at Stamford Bridge.
But Southampton midfielder Ward-Prowse feels the 18-year-old should stay at the south coast club and allow his career to progress.
“Obviously there is a little bit of banter flying around about the headlines, but that is just normal in football,” Shaw said.
“His feet are on the ground, his head is in at the right place at the moment, and he put in a great performance against Arsenal.
“He is settled, that is the main thing. You can see the fans love him as well, which is a good thing. This is the best place to be, at the moment.”
Ward-Prowse added that the Saints were satisfied with a point after a 2-2 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal at St Mary’s on Tuesday night.
“I think, in the end, it was a good point,” Ward-Prowse added.
“All the lads are disappointed to lose out to two goals early in the second half, but we fought back and showed great spirit.
“It was frustrating, as we outplayed them in the first half. But we stuck in there, showed character, and got a point.”
