Man United transfers: Paul Ince admits he can see Wayne Rooney heading for an Old Trafford exit this summer

Paul Ince admits he can see Wayne Rooney heading for a Manchester United exit this summer, despite David Moyes’ appointment at Old Trafford.
The England striker has reportedly asked to quit the club for the second time in recent years and has been linked with a big-money move to cash-rich Paris Saint-Germain.
And Ince, who spent six seasons at United and scored 29 goals from midfield for the Red Devils, believes that the 27-year-old could have his heart set on a move away from the Premier League champions.
“We know a couple of years ago he wanted to leave Man United and Sir Alex convinced him to stay,” Ince told talkSPORT.
“When you look at the last half of the season Wayne has not been involved in the starting XI for big games, so there will always be doubts.
“He still scored a whole lot of goals this season though and people forget that. He needs to be playing football though and, if he’s not, he’s not going to be happy. There must be a reason why he’s not been involved in the big games.
“That can change though. David Moyes is coming in, they worked together at Everton and he knows what Wayne’s all about. It’s up to him to persuade him that he’s part of his future but, if he’s not, then I can see Wayne moving on.”
Rooney has scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for United in all competitions this season.
