Remy Cabella admits it would be a “dream” to seal a transfer to Manchester United this summer.

The Montpellier attacker has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United in recent months, with some reports claiming that a deal is already in place to bring the 23-year-old to St James’ Park.

However, the France Under-21 international has left the door open to a possible move to Old Trafford by conceding that it would be a dream to play for the Red Devils.

“We’ll see in May when it will be discussed,” Cabella said when asked about his future. “For now I am with Montpellier. It is a trust agreement. The price? It is the president who decides.

“Manchester United? You must ask my father who cares for me. Until there is something serious, I will say nothing.

“It is also a matter of respect for my club and [Montpellier president] Louis Nicollin.

“But Manchester United is always a dream for any player.”

Cabella has scored 10 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season.
