Mark Lawrenson has tipped Manchester United to ease to a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways when Roy Hodgson’s side make the trip to the Theatre of Dreams.
Manchester United missed out on the chance to hoist themselves above Arsenal and Liverpool FC into top spot in the Premier League table.
However, Paul Pogba’s second-half penalty miss at Molineux Stadium forced Manchester United to settle for a 1-1 draw with Wolves.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already scored five goals in the Premier League this season after a 4-0 rout of Chelsea FC on the opening weekend.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to ease to a “routine win” over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.
“Roy Hodgson’s team are in danger of becoming known as ‘Crystal Palace nil’,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport. “It is a real worry for them – where are their goals going to come from?
“Until the January transfer window comes round, I think they will really struggle.
“People were getting excited after Manchester United beat Chelsea on the opening weekend but you could see they are going to have problems over the course of the season. But I will go for a routine win at Old Trafford.”
Manchester United signed Swansea City winger Daniel James, Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City defender Harry Maguire in the summer.
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson signed off on a decorated 25-year career with a 13th top-flight crown.
Manchester United will compete in the Europa League this term after their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last term.
