Man United’s David Moyes: There’ll be more signings like Juan Mata
Manchester United manager David Moyes says the Red Devils will land more big names like club-record signing Juan Mata

David Moyes has promised Manchester United supporters that there will be more signings like Juan Mata in the summer.
The Scot kick-started his rebuilding process on Saturday night after the Red Devils snapped up the 25-year-old in a club-record £37.1m deal from title rivals Chelsea.

Moyes failed to land Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Bayern Munich youngster Thiago Alcantara last summer, but the United boss promised more big-name arrivals in the near future.
“We were going to have a difficult summer period. That window was going to be tough. We’ve had a chance to look at everybody and we’re only in the next window,” Moyes said at Mata’s unveiling at Carrington on Monday.
“We will be making changes and Juan is the first.”
He added: “There will be more players like Juan in the future, there is no doubt about that.”
Moyes revealed that he was first made aware that United might be able to sign Mata “a month or two” ago but never expected the defending champions to pull the coup off.
“I’m thrilled. I got wind of it a month or two ago that it could be a possibility and never believed we could pull it off,” Moyes added.
“I didn’t think the players we were interested would be available. When we got a sniff Juan could be available we went after it right away.”
