Man United’s Phil Jones: Daniel Sturridge is Liverpool’s danger man
Manchester United defender Phil Jones earmarks Daniel Sturridge as Liverpool's danger man ahead of the trip to Anfield

Phil Jones has earmarked Daniel Sturridge as Liverpool’s danger man ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds Devils make the short journey to Merseyside next weekend following a goalless draw with Premier League title rivals Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent start courtesy of Sturridge’s second goal of the season – and his eighth in seven top-flight games.
“He is a cracking player,” said Jones. “He’s one that we’ll work on and watch out for.
“It’s never easy going to Anfield, they put you under a lot of pressure. It’s going to be a big game for the players and manager.
“We’ll have to go there and be at our best but I’m sure if we find that cutting edge we can get three points.”
United defender Jones also admitted the Red Devils lacked “cutting edge” in the final third against the Blues.
“Wayne Rooney had a few long-range efforts and we could have had a penalty shout in the final 10 minutes for handball, but you win some, lose some with those,” added Jones.
“We got the clean sheet and looked solid defensively as a unit – not just the back four but collectively it was sound.
“It was probably just in the final third where we didn’t find the cutting edge.”
